Position Summary

Norwood Bank is currently seeking a Teller, primarily responsible for processing customer transactions in the teller line.

Teller Job Responsibilities
  • Process a variety of customer and bank transactions, including check cashing, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, money orders, bank checks, cash memos, balance cash drawer, and document batch totals
  • Provide information and guidance to customers and answer questions about products and services both in-person and by phone
  • Verify and process night deposit and commercial drop off bags
  • Balance ATM, TCR, and c oin machine on a daily basis
  • Accurately complete customer information in the Currency Transaction Report (CTR) for transactions greater than 10k dollars ; complete SAR referral forms as needed
  • Understand compliance and deposit regulations such as; BSA/AML, Reg CC, Reg E, Reg DD, Check 21, Privacy Notice and the Patriot Act
  • Assist and service coin customers ; service coin machine as needed , and p repare and verify coin orders

Teller Qualifications
  • High School diploma; additional coursework or training a plus
  • Minimum 6 months teller experience preferred ; p rior cash handling , customer service and/or sales experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Integrated Teller/Navigator and Business Process Manager a plus
  • Team player with strong work ethic
  • Strong organizational , communication , and interpersonal skills
  • Must be f luent in English
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business, technology and professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
