Job summary
FROST (Financial Research and Operations Support Team), part of the larger PAE (Payments Acceptance and Experience) organization, partners with Accounting, businesses, and technical teams to manage operational risk and processes to help ensure transactions completely and accurately message from source to subledger (SL) to general ledger (GL).

A program manager (PM) in FROST focuses on managing projects and programs, which vary in scale, scope, and complexity. Your overarching objective is to simplify and harden processes and workflows, launching businesses with limited defects and championing enhancements to eliminate tech debt. You review and identify improvements for workflows with senior SDEs and principals, marrying them seamlessly to accounting proposed requirements to ensure all stakeholders are in alignment and objectives are achievable.

You understand system flows and business processes in depth, and are viewed as a deep subject matter expert in revenue and payment workflows and processes by colleagues, accounting customers, and technical teams.
You effect change in external teams through influence, not authority. A PM applies best practices and works backwards, ensuring the needs of internal and external customers are kept in mind and protected.

A FROST PM is an expert at using internal tools and has an ability to deep dive systems and workflows to understand in detail which triggers result in financial events. A PM must be a strong communicator with various audiences (accountants, engineers, etc.), levels (peers, management, executives), and via many mediums (written documents, emails, in-person).

You leverage and uphold operational, program/project management, and accounting best practices to insist on the highest standards. You effectively communicate requirements to other analysts and developers to gain alignment and action.

Key job responsibilities
• Understand the significant business problems in your program space, automation limitations, scaling factors, and reasons behind leadership decisions.
• Ensure stakeholder needs are aligned; driving mindful discussions that lead to crisp decisions. You are able to provide a long-term perspective, context (past, current, and future) for business and technology (at a high level) choices.
• Solve ambiguous problems and proactively identify and mitigate risks (before they become roadblocks). You demonstrate good judgment in how and when to escalate (without damaging relationships).
• Routinely deliver the right things with limited guidance.
• Track open issues and research requests, providing regular status to management.Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
