Our Experiences technology team is looking for a talented, creative and passionate Software Development Manager to help us expand our existing charity and consumer experiences as well as build and launch new ones. Our projects involve full-stack development - web UI, web services and data systems that operate at high scale and with broad customer reach. You will have opportunities to directly impact customers' shopping experience as you connect them to charitable organizations. You'll own the tech stack that supports the Charity List program, Org Central, our charity facing portal, and many customer facing experiences across the Amazon retail website.

Key job responsibilities
As a part of this role, you will:

Recruit, hire, mentor, and coach a team of Software Engineers.
Foster career growth and a strong team culture.
Interface with your customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, set priorities
Own all operational metrics and support for your team's software.
Manage the agile development process and methodology to deliver value to customers.
Help develop long-term development and business technology strategies.Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams
  • Experience partnering with product OR program management teams
  • 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
  • 3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies
  • Experience building and managing service-oriented software systems
  • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts
  • Experience forming teams and recruiting software engineers
