Are you looking for a high impact Engineering role that will significantly change the way teams running the online store are maintaining and operating their services? Then join the Shopping Experience Excellence team. Our mission is to make our online store faster and cheaper to run and operate while increasing the engineering rate of innovation.

As an Engineer on the team, you will collaborate with all teams and Senior leadership building on the Amazon store to provide a one-stop-shop for all critical metrics and key performance and business indicators when it comes to the operational health of Amazon teams and online store services. From there, you will design solutions that provide automated engineering excellence insights and software aiming to reduce undifferentiated operational effort across teams. Our product vision is to become the AWS console of the Amazon online store.

Basic Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with professional software engineering best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, and testing.
  • Familiarity or interest in learning AWS technologies.
  • Experience with Agile Development Teams and complex systems analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of service oriented architecture, distributed systems, workflow management.
  • Passion for customer/user experience.
  • A sense of humor and ability to work while having fun.
