Ocala Healthencompasses Ocala Regional Medical Center, a 256-bed facility located in theheart of Ocala, and West Marion Community Hospital, a 174-bed hospital locatedin west Marion County, Summerfield ER, a freestanding emergency departmentlocated in southern Marion County, and Maricamp ER, a freestanding emergencydepartment located on Maricamp Road in Ocala. Ocala Regional Medical Center isa Level II Trauma Center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The hospitals offera host of other quality and award winning services including orthopedic careand joint replacement, robotic surgery, cardiac and vascular services includingopen heart surgery and interventional procedures, emergency, neurological andrehabilitation services, and bariatric surgery. Ocala Health has the onlyCommission on Cancer approved cancer center in Marion County. Ocala Healthsoutpatient facilities include Family Care Specialists, a primary care networkof six locations throughout Marion County; Advanced Imaging Centers; afreestanding Wound and Hyperbaric Center; a Senior Wellness Community Center;and three surgical and physician specialty practices.

The Cardiovascular Registered NurseSpecialist is responsible to the Nursing Director for the delivery of qualitypatient care utilizing the nursing process. The CV RN Specialist is responsible for assessing the learning needs ofthe staff. The role consists ofplanning, designing, delivering, and evaluated the education activities to meetthe needs of the CV Critical Care Unit. Other responsibilities include: overseeing preceptorship and training ofnew and current staff. This role canwork as staff with Director approval.


  • 4 years Bachelor Degree required; Masters Degree preferred
  • FL RN Licensure required or obtainedwithin 90 days of hire if licensed with applicable RN Compact Licensure
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • CCRN preferred
  • 3-5 years in related area
  • 1-3 years of nurse educator or nurse leader preferred
