The B2B Payments team is responsible for creating and operating a worldwide collection of products and services, by enabling seamless business payments throughout Amazon. Our mission is to create the most customer-centric payment products, payment experience and procurement services for business clients that empower any business to engage with Amazon from anywhere and in any way. Building on top of Amazon's long history of customer focus and innovation, and our drive to think big, B2B Payments is addressing a new set of payment needs of business buyers. We re-invent the core parts of the payment experience, provide business-oriented payment methods and integrate with corporate purchasing systems to serve the needs of businesses.

B2B Payments Pay By Invoice Product team is looking for a Program Management leader to define, build, and lead programs for delivering the Suite of invoicing products our global customers use every day. This leader will have the autonomy, ownership, and responsibility to drive program execution by breaking down complex problems and make quick and thoughtful decisions. You'll be responsible for anticipating bottlenecks, making tradeoffs, reporting on metrics, developing mechanisms, and welcoming an acceptable level of risk to maximize business benefit.

You will partner closely with leaders of Amazon Business, Global Tax, and Payments services to influence the delivery of next generation of billing and payments for business customers on Amazon. Ideally this person will have experience working with Finance, tax, product teams, as well as a strong understanding of the B2B procure to pay cycle.

This position can be based out of an Amazon corporate office in Seattle, New York, Arlington, or the San Francisco Bay Area.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mechanisms to drive continuous improvements across the business, including process automation/elimination. Lead initiatives and help shape B2B Payments product strategy by insights across programs.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to cross-functional project teams, planning and executing complex projects across multiple organizations and stakeholders simultaneously to enable the launch of new projects and processes.
  • Analyze data to identify pain points related the customer experience and create plans, goals and priorities to address identified pain points.
  • Develop mechanisms to measure success and adoption of the initiatives within the business.
  • Foster strong relationships with teams across B2B Payments, leading and influencing others effectively to achieve cross-functional alignment on goals and successful product/service launch execution.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • 7+ years experience in project/ program management roles or 4+ years of relevant experience with an MBA/ Master's degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience with Procure to Pay, Invoice to Pay or Order-to-Cash processes (AP/ AR)
  • Experience working with product teams and comfort with tax and compliance topics
  • Experience aligning diverse stakeholders to manage risk and change in fast-moving environments.
  • Ability to make decisions guided by policies, procedures, and business plan with limited guidance
  • Results-oriented, prioritizes work activities, plans and stays organized in order to meet commitments.
  • Strong judgment and decision making; attention to detail and organization skill.
