Our Impact:
We build data platforms and capabilities that enable self-service data analytics, reporting, model development, machine learning and support data discovery, quality, lineage and governance
We run and improve Big Data and Data Warehouse platforms, collaborate with teams and leadership within IT and with business partners to advance our technical capabilities and provide data solutions that drive business results
We build Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to illustrate how ground breaking technologies can be incorporated and improve Freddie Mac's technology offerings

Your Impact:
Build a Data platform product vision and be capable of blending the needs from enterprise wide technical & business groups into a product road map
Lead the creation of data ingestion and consumption pipelines to enable data sources with various velocities - batch, CDC, messaging and streaming
Lead development of data integration/ engineering workflows using Scala and/or Python leveraging AWS, Snowflake, and other cloud data stores
Lead, design and collaborate with architecture teams to align with Enterprise Data and Application architecture standards
Manage a team of Data Platform-focused Product Managers and influence a broad set of cross-functional team members
Develop best practices for data science and modeling
Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
Maintain and enhance data exploration architecture, design principles, CI/CD deployment procedures

Bachelor's Degree in computer science or IT, Advanced degree preferred
15+ years of overall experience
5+ years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to data modernization is required
2+ years of experience in any of Cloud technologies like Snowflake, AWS S3, EC2, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes/Amazon EKS, EMR, Hadoop, Kafka, AMQ or similar
Experience working directly with data engineers to define and plan data pipelines
Familiarity with Python, R, Pandas, Spark and SQL
Experience with Databricks is a plus.
Prior experience in the primary or secondary mortgage industry is desirable
Deep knowledge of various enterprise level Platforms widely used in the industry

Excellent communication, leadership and relationship management skills, that enable partnering with and influencing key customers in an open, collaborative environment at all levels in an organization
Technical leadership with knowledge of both legacy and modern cloud based distributed systems
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to succinctly present sophisticated subject matter, specifically translating technology problems/solutions to business partners
